11 月 8 日消息，微软上个月在官方博客平台发文宣布，DirectStorage API 即将迎来 1.1 版本更新，带来 GPU 解压游戏资源，加载速度提升 2 倍。
今日，微软官方宣布 DirectStorage 1.1 正式上线，带来了多项功能改进（博客原文）。

DirectStorage 1.1 更新内容：
GPU 解压缩和 Gdeflate 现已可用。
添加了 EnqueueSetEvent 以使用 Win32 事件对象进行完成通知。
性能改进和错误修复。
英伟达和英特尔都已发布支持 DirectStorage 1.1 的驱动，前者为 GeForce Game Ready 526.47 版本，后者为 31.0.101.3793 Beta 版本。
根据微软的说法，DirectStorage 1.1 的 GPU 解压缩能够为游戏的加载速度带来 2 倍提升，具体原理大家可以看文末链接的文章，该技术可在 Windows 11 和 Windows 10 上使用（Windows 11 表现更好），玩家需要将游戏放在 NVMe SSD 中，且显卡需支持 DirectX 12 和 Shader Model 6.0，最好是支持 DirectX 12 Ultimate 的卡。
